The progressive cavity pump for slurry is a great option for handling coal water slurry during storage, transportation, and application. This mixture, which is made by adding additives to pulverized coal and water, can suffer from soft precipitation and stratification if not handled correctly. Unlike other pumps, the progressive cavity pump ensures a constant volume of the pump cavity, which is great for “maturing” the slurry without disturbing it too much. As a result, it is still considered the most efficient type of coal water slurry transportation.
